Section on Haematology, Oxygen Transport and Microcirculation
CONSTITUTION
1 NAME AND AFFILIATION
The section on haematology, oxygen transport and microcirculation (SHOTM) is a subgroup of the European Society for Pediatric Research (ESPR). The constitution is binding for the SHOTM.
2 OBJECTIVES
The purpose of the SHOTM is to promote research in the fields of haematology, oxygen transport and microcirculation. The purpose can be achieved by encouraging exchange of ideas and discussions among researchers and organizing multicentre trials within Europe and within the ESPR.
3 MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to any person who is an active, senior, affiliate or associate member of the ESPR.
4 ORGANISATION
The ESPR-SHOTM has its own business meeting which will be held during the annual ESPR meeting.
The business meeting will be chaired by the SHOTM secretary. The secretary should send out invitation for the business meeting 4 weeks in advance.
Decisions at the annual business meetings should be made by simple majority of the members present.
At the annual business meeting the following items shall be discussed: - approval of the minutes of the previous meeting, -report of the secretary, -activities of the section, -election of secretary, -amendments of the constitution, -dissolution of the group.
5 THE COUNCIL
The council of the section should consist of one secretary and two additional section council members who are elected for a three year term at the annual business meeting by simple majority. Re-election shall be possible for one more term. Nomination of candidates for the secretary should be made 3 months before the business meeting. Postal votes will be accepted before the meeting from all members who can not attend the annual meeting.
